- Meritorious Services done by Yogiraj N.Ramalingam:
- Sri Swami Chidananda Maharaj International President of Divine Life Society Rishikesh (U.P) conferred the title “Yogiraj” in the year 1986 at Pattamadai (Birth place of Swami Sivananda Maharaj) for outstanding services in Yoga field.
- The first Tamil Nadu State Level Yoga Conference and Yoga Competition was conducted by this Centre in 1998 at Madurai
- The Tamil Nadu State Yogasana Association, founded by Yogiraj N. Ramalingam in the Year 1988 at the First Yoga Conference & Competition held in Madurai. Upto date he is the General Secretary of the Association. The Tamil Nadu Yogasana Sangam has got recognition from the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu with the exclusive effort of Yogiraj N. Ramalingam.
- National Level Yoga Competition and Conference has been conducted in the year 1993, 1996 & 2000 in Tamilnadu, organized by Yogiraj N. Ramalingam on behalf of Yoga Federation of India (Recognised by Indian Olympic Assocation)
- The Yoga Federation of India honoured Yogiraj N.Ramalingam for his relentless services in Yoga by electing him as Senior Joint Secretary from 1993 to upto date.
- “Ilamaikku Vazhi” and “Yoga” (for learners) are the two books written by Yogiraj N. Ramalingam and Published by Swamy Sivananda Yogasana Research Centre, Madurai received vide appreciation throughout India for its simplicity in explaining Asanas.
- Our Centre Students have Won Championship Awards 20 times in Yoga Competitions conducted by Yoga Federation of India and TamilNadu State Yogasana Association.
- “Siddasramam” Madurai honoured Yogiraj N. Ramalingam by conferring him the title “Siddha Seva Rathnam” in the year 1993 for his expertise in medicinal benefit associating Siddha and Yoga for curing Chronic diseases.
- Disease like epilepcy, diabetics, Asthma, Chronic Ulcer, Depression etc. can be cured through Yoga by the Centre.
- To prove Pranayama’s vitality and Roll of Yoga in our routine life and General Health Yogiraj N. Ramalingam performed Trancidental Meditation every year by sitting in “Padmasana” posture for more than 72 hours continuously without taking food or water but breathed only air with which he stayed healthy and also did asanas the very next moment after completing the meditation.
